Formed as a way to protect the breed, record the parentage, preserve the history, and promote the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse as a breed in North America. Our goals include educating the public on the colorful history and versatility of the breed, promoting responsible, quality breeding programs in North America and encouraging the use of the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse.
The Gypsy Cob Society of America was founded in May 2003 to provide an organization to promote the breed and to maintain a permanent registry devoted wholly to the interests of the Gypsy Cob. The Gypsy Cob Society of America is chartered under the laws of Texas and is a charitable organization.
The U.K's first and only stud book/Society set up to promote the Traditional gypsy horse, Established in 2003 by Pricilla Cox and founder member George Williams our aim is to protect the true breed as it is, encourage responsible breeding/and export of known parentaged animals.
